Shipping & Handling
We do our utmost to ensure your order is handled with extreme care during delivery, especially local delivery (South Florida Only) which is absolutely free! Deliveries by other carriers are handled under their policies and not those of Caribbean Online Grocery. Any disputes in delivery & handling with these carriers is their responsibility.
We DO NOT offer Free Shipping at this time. You will not get the Free shipping option for those that we do not offer free shipping. Also, even if you spend the minimum required for Free Shipping and your purchase includes an item that does not offer Free Shipping, you do not get Free Shipping.
A signature is now required to receive your package as we’ve had a recent uptick of customers claiming they never received the package(s). If no-one is there to sign for the package, then it will be dropped of at the nearest UPS store where you will have to travel there and sign for the package. There is an extra $5.00 fee charged by UPS for this service. This fee will be waived for our valuable customers. Please call: 305-376-1550 before you place your order.
Spoilage
Perishable products are shipped fresh in clearly marked containers and with dry ice and therefore last for the 1-5 days of shipping. You may also select 2-day shipping. We are not responsible for third party delays in shipping resulting in spoilage. Still we will make every reasonable attempt to resolve issues should you contact us immediately upon receipt of your package.
All necessary precautions should be taken to preserve these items after you receive them, which basically means they must be refrigerated. We cannot be held responsible if such common sense measures are not taken.
Refunds
There will be no refunds under any circumstances unless & until all investigations into your dispute have been exhausted and it has been concluded that the fault is ours. We do not ship or deliver products past their expiration date or products not packaged properly. We are not responsible for products/goods damaged during shipping & handling by carriers other than Caribbean Online Grocery, LLC.
There are instances during the ordering process from the website that due the popularity of the item and quick time between each an order is purchased, the website may not be immediately updated to match our inventory. In such a case we apply the FIFO -First In First Out – option. We go by the date an timestamp. Orders that were made soon after the inventory for that item was depleted, or “Out Of Stock” will be refunded.
Backorders
Backorders as described by Caribbean Online Grocery, LLC in a method offered to our customers as a convenience. A backorder simply means the item is currently out of stock and as soon as our stock is replenished, the customer’s order will be fulfilled. It is important for the customer to understand that it could take up to a couple weeks or more before stock is replenished. Backorders are extended to our customers to ensure that you’ll be first in line when we start shipping orders again. The customer therefore has the option to place the order using the backorder feature, or not.
